POKO Sustainability Report 2025

Sustainability is not a single initiative—it is a continuous commitment woven into every decision we make. This report reflects our belief that meaningful progress happens when environmental stewardship, social responsibility, transparency, and innovation work together to create lasting impact.

Our approach to environmental responsibility centers on minimizing our footprint while maximizing positive outcomes for the planet. From conscious material choices to responsible production practices, we strive to protect natural resources and support a healthier future for generations to come.

  • Reforestation projects provide co-benefits for local people which can promote employment, gender equality, new income streams, more diverse food sources to support a healthier diet, and improved community facilities.

  • While the biggest impact you can make is to reduce your own emissions, carbon avoidance projects all provide complementary climate solutions to prevent greenhouse gas emissions, restore nature, and support local communities.

  • Sea freight emits many times less CO₂ per tonne-kilometre than air freight. While cargo planes burn large amounts of fuel to stay airborne, ships rely on buoyancy, allowing them to move heavy loads across long distances with comparatively low energy use.

Equally important is our commitment to social responsibility. We believe business can be a powerful force for good when it prioritizes people. By supporting ethical labor practices, investing in vulnerable communities, and creating opportunities for dignity, safety, and economic independence, we aim to contribute to a more just and inclusive world.

Transparency is foundational to trust. We are committed to open, honest communication about our progress, challenges, and areas for growth. This report is not only a celebration of what we’ve achieved, but a clear reflection of where we are and where we still have work to do.

Finally, innovation drives our ability to evolve responsibly. We continuously explore new ideas, technologies, and partnerships that allow us to improve our impact, adapt to changing needs, and challenge conventional ways of doing business.

Together, these four pillars guide our sustainability journey—one grounded in accountability, purpose, and a shared responsibility to people and planet.

Loungewear Without Limits

From sleep to daily life situations - elevated lounge sets made with GOTS certified 100% organic Turkish cotton, using a unique garment-dye technique that uses 20x less water. Made to mix-and-match, perfect for travel, and designed with your capsule wardrobe in mind. Each order directly supports a woman-led design team.

Turkey’s Aegean region provides optimal conditions for cotton farming—warm days, cool nights, and regular rainfall. This means Turkish cotton often requires less artificial irrigation than cotton grown in drier regions, reducing water use.

High-quality fibers require less intensive chemical treatment during spinning, dyeing, and finishing. Many Turkish mills also adhere to strict European environmental standards, helping reduce harmful runoff and pollution.

Choosing Fiber With a Conscience: Alpaca Wool

Ethical alpaca farming proves that fashion doesn’t have to exploit to create beauty.

At the heart of alpaca farming is gentleness—care for the animals, respect for the land, and a slower way of working with nature. When responsibly sourced, alpaca fibre is a renewable, low-impact choice that honours both the earth and the artisan communities.
