You have a love for analytics and website experience, and you’re equally comfortable tapping into your creativity to execute cross-platform campaign magic. 


Pokoloko is a home and lifestyle brand based in Ottawa-Gatineau, Canada. We are a mid-size, high-growth start up with a tri-channel sales platform including an online shop, a brick-and-mortar shop in Ottawa, and an extensive wholesale network across North America.   • Full time, permanent (40 hours per week) 
  • Start date: immediate or as soon as possible 
  • Two weeks paid vacation automatically increased to three weeks paid vacation after three years with Poko

  • Remote position, with comfortable office space available 24/7 at our warehouse offices in Hull, Quebec, Canada, located 10 minutes from Parliament, with onsite free parking, free coffee and snacks

  • Reporting to Poko’s two Co-Founders, Jessie (Brand Director) and Case (Financial & Strategy Director)
  • Working as part of a marketing team and greater team, including a Social Media Manager and a Partnerships Manager, as well as contracted ad, copywriting, graphic design, website, and creative agencies, and Poko’s Operations, Retail, and Wholesale teams



  • Management of pokoloko.com including visual merchandising, preparing collections for marketing campaigns, always ensuring a smooth user experience
  • Leading website improvements with support of web development agency, constant optimization of the customer experience 
  • Increasing web traffic, improving conversion rate, growing online sales

Content & Campaign Calendar

  • Leading the execution of the monthly retail content calendar 2-4 weeks in advance  
  • Creating and leading creative and impactful campaigns with the Poko team 
  • Leading the coordination of retail product launches within the Poko team including the preparation of pokoloko.com, and the surrounding campaigns promoting those new products 
  • Supporting the marketing team with strategies on how to work together to create stronger impact with our content and partnerships, contributing leads and ideas to co-workers to make collective efforts stronger
  • Maintain established brand guide, ensuring a consistent look and feel across all platforms 
  • Support with the visualization and creative briefs for photo and/or video shoots
  • Conducting and reporting industry and branding research and trends

Brand Integration

  • Serve as the main brand touchpoint for external, contracted ad, copywriting, graphic design, website, and creative agencies
  • Approve creative from agencies, provide agencies brand assets and updates, ensure agencies are informed of content calendar and company objectives
  • Communicate platform insights to team in weekly KPI meeting, make strategy recommendations based on evaluation and conclusions from data 
  • Contributing to the evolution and refinement of the Poko brand and story, and the way in which we serve the greater Poko community as a sustainable, give back social enterprise 

B2C Email

  • Managing D2C email flows in Klaviyo (updated seasonally), audience segments, and email campaigns, including the strategy, storytelling, copywriting, and graphic design (with the support of Poko contractors and team)  
  • Growing email list through campaigns and offers
  • Optimize for lower unsubscribe rates, increased open rates 


  • Manage Pinterest account, repurpose appropriate organic content for Pinterest
  • Pinterest ads as well as Pinterest account and channel growth

Please note: We work with agencies offering a variety of marketing services, and so depending on the successful applicant’s skill set, experience, and interests, the above job description can be customized to exclude certain platforms (email for example), and include other responsibilities not specified above (IG content creation for example). This position could include other ad hoc duties as assigned and needed based on changing, fast paced needs of the business.


  • Minimum 2 years experience and demonstrated success in ecommerce, digital marketing, communications, business, or a related field.  


  • Solid understanding of digital marketing techniques and best practices
  • An understanding of our customers and ability to engage them
  • Creative visual and written storytelling ability via engaging content, with an eye for aesthetic detail, and strong written word
  • Understanding priority over urgency, a go-getter who is resourceful and can effectively manage a full workload with multiple priorities while remaining calm and focused
  • Data-driven, tech-savvy, proficient in navigating new platforms, natural problem solver  
  • Goal-focused, always interested in learning more 
  • Excellent project management skills as well as demonstrated practical organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Willingness to work on all levels to support team’s success, collaborative and conscious of the changing needs of our industry, our business, and our team, always available to help 
  • Strong procedural and/or creative writing abilities an asset
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with the retail, wholesale, fashion, and/or home decor industries an asset 
  • Experience and knowledge of Facebook Ads is a major asset
  • Experience or knowledge of Shopify, Klaviyo, photography, videography, Lightroom, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva, Dropbox, Instagram, Facebook Ads, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, HTML, an asset 
  • Experience with the following tools that we use is an asset: Slack, Google Suite, ClickUp, AirTable
