Poko is seeking casual part time Operations Coordinators in our warehouse in Hull, Gatineau. The ideal candidate enjoys moving their body, working in a high paced environment, and being part of a dynamic and caring team. The Operations Coordinator will primarily be receiving shipments and processing customer orders, with the opportunity to expand their work into customer care, event projects, warehouse space organization, and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Pull, pack and ship wholesale and retail orders as part of the order fulfillment team.
  • Verify customer and order information for correctness, checking it against previously obtained information as necessary. Update customer information as needed.
  • Check inventory systems to determine the availability of requested merchandise.
  • Communicate with the order fulfillment team as well as the Pokoloko team at large using Slack (Poko’s internal team’s communication app) and email in accordance with company standards. 
  • Notify Operations team when supplies of specific items or a specific product are low in stock, or when orders would deplete available supplies and/or products. 
  • Process customer payments and record in accordance with company procedures.
  • Clean, restock and organize the warehouse.
  • Receive, unload, count and shelve incoming shipments.
  • Put out garbage and recycling at the warehouse.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety requirements.
  • Adhere to Pokoloko policies and procedures.

EXPECTATIONS

  • Will arrive for their scheduled shift on time and stay for the duration of the shift. 
  • Will work with an attitude of ‘how can I help’ 
  • Will complete required tasks in a timely and efficient manner ensuring adherence to Pokoloko policies and procedures
  • Work with the Operations team to ensure effective and clear communication

EXPERIENCE & ASSETS

  • Need to be physically able to stand, work and move around a warehouse for the duration of your shift, and move boxes up to 50 pounds 
  • Warehouse and operations experience an asset but not required
