Nineteen Ten Home has been in business since 2012!
Where is your company located?
Located on Main Street just at 28th Ave, in Vancouver, British Columbia. 4366 Main Street.
What's your elevator pitch - your company summary in a nutshell?
Nineteen Ten Home was founded through a mutual passion for beautifully made, functional + entirely special items designed to elevate the everyday.
Inside the shop you will find a range of items from home decor, personal accessories, natural skin care products, ceramics and paper goods.
We source our goods from all over the globe with an emphasis on independent makers.
What inspires you for your product sourcing?
We love a good story and find a lot of inspiration with items that are made by hand.
We are drawn to natural textures, neutral colour palettes and understated design approaches.
What's your favourite Pokoloko product, and why?
The Crinkle Throws / Blankets - they just check all the boxes: perfect weight, beautiful texture, easy colour palette and accessible price point.
How long have you been carrying Pokoloko?
We've been carrying Pokoloko since the Fall of 2018.
What’s a memorable, hilarious or embarrassing shop moment?
We’ve been known to share some happy tears with customers in the shop.
One very special customer got us really good during a store anniversary event when she told us that many of her most treasured home decor purchases are from Nineteen Ten Home and that we were such a special part of her home.
We all ended up holding back some major waterworks!
What style tip would you share for folk using a Pokoloko product?
Layering.
The Pokoloko products we stock are perfect for layering both yourself and your home.
We often have customers who cannot decide which product to purchase and often end up with several pieces at time.
The neutral palette we have selected in the shop works well for customers coming in again and again to add to their decor.
