The Role

As a Warehouse Coordinator, you will be a hands-on, essential part of our daily operations. You will work closely with our warehouse team to ensure shipments are received, orders are picked and processed accurately, and our warehouse space is organized, clean, and functioning at its best.

This role is part-time to start with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position for the right candidate. The schedule includes weekday shifts within Monday-Friday, within the hours of 8AM-4PM, with some flexibility for evening and weekends. 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Receiving incoming shipments and organizing product within the warehouse
  • Driving shipment pickups and local deliveries within Ottawa and the greater Ottawa area
  • Loading and unloading boxes from vehicles into the warehouse
  • Organizing and maintaining product, boxes, and shelving within the warehouse space
  • Picking and processing customer orders using order management software
  • Providing customer care via email and phone
  • Ensuring customer information is accurate in our system as orders are processed 
  • Check inventory systems to determine the availability of requested merchandise
  • Communicating via the Slack app with the Poko Team  
  • General cleaning and maintenance of the warehouse space, ensuring the warehouse is stocked with the supplies and tools needed to successfully operate
  • Supporting the team with day-to-day operational needs as they arise

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Physical capability to safely lift 30–50 lb boxes including overhead placement onto shelving, and to perform physical tasks throughout a full shift.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic — this is non-negotiable for us
  • Ability to follow direction clearly and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual, efficient, and organized 

Assets:

  • Valid full driver's license with the ability to safely operate an automatic SUV, an automatic SUV with trailer (including a Peach Cargo 6x12 V Nose Trailer), and a 12–24 foot cube truck
  • Experience operating a jigger and/or similar warehouse equipment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Handy person skills including general maintenance and basic repairs
  • Bilingualism (English/French)
  • Previous warehouse, logistics, administrative, and/or operations experience
