Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do!
Hi! Our names are Reanne & Alainna! (Re & Al for short). We are identical twin sisters, moms to girls and little guys and both currently work in healthcare.
We have a passion for design, style, and DIYS! We are definitely a product of our environments and love to create happy, beautiful spaces!
Fun fact:
We are always “twinning!” We got engaged on the same day, had a double wedding and have girls and boys who are the same age!
Q: What inspired you to create this little corner?
We created a corner where we could relax, wind down, and keep cozy! (The kids love it too!)
It’s a space where we feel a sense of calm!
Q: What do you have to consider or look for in your purchases for your space?
We look for quality, value and consider locally or ethically sourced/made products! (And of course comfort!)
We love neutrals and products that support a flow of design from space to space!
Q: What do you love most about this area of your home?
We love the high ceilings and large windows in this space yet the warmth the Arda pillows bring!
It’s the perfect spot to relax and hang out!
Q: What's your favourite Pokoloko product in your home and why?
It is such a toss-up!
We absolutely love our Arda throw pillows! (Can never have too many pillows!) They add the perfect pop of cozy and are so comfortable! We adore the texture and warmth they add also!
We also love our striped bath mat! Tassels are always a great way to add texture to a space and this mat sure elevates the room! (We can also switch it up & use it in the kitchen too – adding an extra layer of coziness in front of the sink!).
Q: What advice, resources or helpful tips do you have for anyone you feel might be considering something similar?
When utilizing throw pillows throughout your home or an individual space, don’t be afraid to add in pops of colour, patterns and different textures to create that perfect coziness! If you’re unsure of your personal design style, start neutral!
You don’t need to choose one colour for your accent pillows. Create a mood or vision board for your space to help you determine a style! Then choose your pillows based on that.
