If you’ve always wanted an alpaca, this is your time to shine. Crafted lovingly by our Peruvian artisan entrepreneurs with 100% ethically-harvested sheep wool.
This little bud is from the camelid family, a relative of the llama.
In Incan cultural history, alpaca fleece was reserved only for Incan royalty. The alpaca is an important animal for Pervuian heritage, and its cousin, the vicuna, is on the Peruvian coat of arms.
Therapy animals bring calm and joy into a space and into your everyday. Alpacas are actually used as therapy animals. A great addition for home offices and shelves. A little mascot for your day.

These little vicuñas as fabulous gifts for a new-born or young child. Quality product sure to please the young one.
I hope they will remain in the inventory for years to come.
The service was exceptional.
Thanks Poko Loko
Thank you for such kind words! Our little mascots are certainly a poko fave here, too :) - Tori
Had to wait quite a while for this little fluffball to come available, but it was worth it. A pretty little desktop companion wearing a lovely woven saddle!
Delicate!
Aren't they just so sweet!
The POKO Difference
-
Artisan made
We travel off the beaten path to bring you independently made products by makers connected to their local communities and environments. We focus on long-term relationships with them. Their skills shine through in their small-scale operations, resulting in quality craftsmanship that’s often individually handmade.
-
Directly traded
Fair trade is one thing and ensures a high degree of confidence that the people, the materials and the environment are not exploited in the supply chain. Direct trade on top of that means the artisan-to-Poko-to-you chain is transparent and, well...direct.
-
Materials mater
We strive to choose materials that have a minimal impact on the environment, and that stand up to the test of time & use. This means working with materials that the artisans choose and have access to, in tandem with developing new products with sustainability & durability in mind.
Shop with heart. Enjoy with soul.
To live richly, we want to surround ourselves not just with beautiful things, but possessions that have meaning and represent the kind of world we would like to help create.
-
Carbon neutral
To offset the carbon footprint of your order from production to processing to shipment, every purchase plants two trees to offset the CO2 emissions. We are constantly seeking new ways to innovate our sustainability practices - this is our social responsibility and commitment for the planet & all that grow on it.
-
Quality customer care
We are truly a tiny team over here in Poko land and every email, query or review helps us feel connected to our shared mission, and to you! We wouldn’t be here without you. From speedy shipping with flat rates, quick responses, and quality assurance - we take pride in the work we do. You’re a part of that - so, thank you!
-
Purpose purchase
Whether it's the socio-economic development of the artisans and their communities we work with (for example: interest-free microloans) or giveback products or campaigns; we believe that if we have a platform, it is way more fulfilling to use it for the good of our local and global neighbours.
