Tried and tested in some of North America's most rugged terrains. This is an excellent boot sock that is thick, stretchy, non-itchy, breathable, and warm
We traveled South to work with Peru's infamous alpaca to find the best socks the world has to offer. We partnered with local Peruvian farmers and makers to gather these luxury materials and created a series of custom-made, premium socks for all ages. This is a unisex style that can be worn with a classic style.
This alpaca blend sock is ideal for those looking for a comfortable sock fit with premium warmth, and/or for those on the move. ??Peruvian alpaca is a natural, technical fiber with remarkable thermal properties. Alpaca allows air circulation on warm days, and heat insulation on cool days. In this way, alpaca is able to prevent sweating in warmer weather, and contain heat in colder weather.
These socks are washed in aloe vera to soothe the feet and prevent sweating, odour, and bacteria. Alpaca is lightweight, silky-smooth, hypoallergenic, non-itchy, incredibly soft, and stronger than mohair. As a bonus, alpaca is one of the Earth's most sustainable fibers to make, because alpacas and alpaca fiber harvesting have a very low environmental impact. Hike more, worry less.

My husband loves these. He bought a pair when we were in Banff, and then I got him three more for Xmas. I’ll probably buy him a pair or two every year. True to size.
Hello Deenah,

He says they are the best socks he's ever had!
Hello there,
That’s wonderful to hear! We’re so glad he loves them.
Thanks for sharing this with us!
Take care,

these hiker socks are the best socks in the whole world. It feels inside so beautiful on my feet feels like you’ve got your feet in beautiful fluff of clouds when you’re walking in your running shoes it’s so comfortable and warm. It’s like you’re walking on clouds. these are the best socks in the whole world. Once you buy one pair you most certainly will not want to wear any other socks during the winter for these beautiful hiker socks. The only thing is I wish they were a little wider at the top like a boot sock since they have to go inside the boots. for someone that has a little bit of a wider calf. You have to wash them in cold water and lay them flat because with them being a packer, they can’t go into the dryer. I don’t wash them and dry them in a dryer anyways totally amazing.
Good quality (which is hard to get these days). Like the length. Pleased they don't bind at top.Wanted that. Glad they come in XL because I wear size 13.

The POKO Difference
-
Artisan made
We travel off the beaten path to bring you independently made products by makers connected to their local communities and environments. We focus on long-term relationships with them. Their skills shine through in their small-scale operations, resulting in quality craftsmanship that’s often individually handmade.
-
Directly traded
Fair trade is one thing and ensures a high degree of confidence that the people, the materials and the environment are not exploited in the supply chain. Direct trade on top of that means the artisan-to-Poko-to-you chain is transparent and, well...direct.
-
Materials mater
We strive to choose materials that have a minimal impact on the environment, and that stand up to the test of time & use. This means working with materials that the artisans choose and have access to, in tandem with developing new products with sustainability & durability in mind.

Purpose purchase
Whether it's the socio-economic development of the artisans and their communities we work with (for example: interest-free microloans) or giveback products or campaigns; we believe that if we have a platform, it is way more fulfilling to use it for the good of our local and global neighbours.
