Thank you so much for sharing your experience! First, we recommend soaking your towel to help the Turkish cotton "bloom" - in time and with use, the towel will become more absorbent and soft. The nature of Turkish towels makes them behave differently from regular towels, they aren't terry towels which are most common, they are instead flat woven towels that don't absorb water but instead wick away water. As you continue to make use of them and care for them, the Turkish cotton will soften and become more absorbent.
